Actions speak louder than words

Sustainability has been in Havfram’s DNA since its inception. Havfram has acted by its transition away from the oil & gas service industry into a company playing a pivotal role to ensure the world gets access to green energy from offshore wind. We are committed to protect our people and the environment we operate in and follow high ethical standards to play our part in making the world a better place for generations to come.

Havfram commits to a 50 % reduction in the carbon footprint of scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035, and to achieve carbon neutrality for scope 1, 2 and 3 within 2050.

Sustainability and a mission to take part in making the world a better place filters through the entire organization of Havfram. From our owners, Sandbrook Capital, a climate infrastructure fund investing in people that electrify the world, to an organization that has ventured into a renewable company with a purpose to utilize its competence and contribute to a successful energy transition away from fossil fuels.

ESG is incorporated into our management systems. The environment criteria consider how Havfram safeguards environment, including policies and statements addressing the environmental impact of its operations and how to reduce our footprint with regards to greenhouse gas, resource and energy use. The social criteria target how we manage relationships with employees, suppliers, customers and the communities we operate. Governance deals with leadership, management systems, audits and internal controls.

Low carbon transition plan

Havfram low carbon transition plan is a document that pulls together all of the climate and carbon work that Havfram has done into one cohesive document that outlines the strategy as well as the baseline for achieving carbon targets. The low carbon transition plan is displaying activities needed and monitoring progress towards the targets set in the Climate pledge.

Energy efficiency

Havfram is constructing the world’s most energy efficient and hybrid-powered wind turbine installation vessels. The vessels will reduce carbon emissions by 17 % compared to conventional vessels. There is potential to reduce emissions by 70 % when value chains of charging stations are constructed. Havfram is committed to explore all opportunities to further improve energy efficiency to reduce Havfram’s carbon footprint.
